    助理教授西班牙语

    Originally from New Jersey, 维基 Zavales艾格特 is an Associate Professor of 西班牙语 and at 云顶集团 College in Baltimore, Maryland. She was formerly an 助理教授 at Dickinson College and Morgan State University. Dr. Eggert wrote her doctoral dissertation on the construction of Federico García Lorca as a cultural icon in the English-speaking world and continues to research and present on the ways in which Lorca’s legacy continues to impact the representation of marginalized groups throughout the globe. 她有 worked extensively on Langston Hughes’s contributions to the scholarship of the 西班牙语 Civil War and has published on monstrosity and motherhood in Pedro Almodóvar’s “All 关于我母亲.” She is currently working on a study of Orson Welles’s relationship 与西班牙语世界的交流. As the former president of the Baltimore Chapter of PFLAG (父母, Family and Friends of Gays and Lesbians) and a member of the Greek-Orthodox 同性恋激进组织AXIOS, Dr. Eggert has spent much of her per sonal life hoping to forward the rights of the LGBTQ community. While living in Pennsylvania, she translated documents to help formerly incarcerated individuals regain their voting access.

    She is currently working on a study of Orson Welles’s relationship with the 西班牙语 speaking world as well as a paper entitled,”The Mindfulness of 推特: The Power of Santa Teresa’s Message in the Age of Social Media.
